Privacy policy

Atelier AI Inc. operates Atelier at ateliernova.net. We are incorporated in Delaware and headquartered at 2261 Market Street, Suite 512, San Francisco, CA 94114, United States.

Account information. When you sign up, we collect your name and email address. If you sign in with Google, we also receive your Google profile photo. Passwords you set directly are hashed with scrypt before storage; we never store plaintext passwords.

Room photos. When you redesign a room, you upload a photo. We store that photo to produce your redesign and to let you view it, compare it, and export it later. We do not use your room photos for any other purpose.

Render results. The redesign image the AI produces is stored alongside your original photo in your account.

Usage data. We collect standard server-side logs including request timestamps, response codes, and rough geolocation (country level) for operational purposes. These logs are retained for 30 days and are not linked to your account.

Billing. If you subscribe to a paid plan, Stripe handles payment. We receive a customer ID and subscription status from Stripe, but not your card number or full payment details.

Form submissions. If you contact us through the contact, help, or careers forms, we store your name, email, and message.

• To provide the redesign service: your room photo is sent to OpenAI for vision and language processing, and the render result is stored in your account.
• To send transactional emails: account verification, password reset, and billing notifications.
• To operate and improve the service: logs help us identify errors and performance issues.
• To process billing: subscription status and payment history are stored to gate access and manage your plan.

We do not use your room photos or account information to train AI models. We do not sell your data or share it for advertising purposes.

Export. You can download a JSON export of all data we hold about your account from your data settings at any time.

Delete. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data from your data settings. Deletion is immediate and permanent.

Correct. You can update your name from your account settings. To correct your email address, contact us.

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have additional rights under the GDPR or UK GDPR, including the right to object to processing, the right to restrict processing, and the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. Contact us to exercise these rights.

Your account data, room photos, and renders are retained until you delete your account. If you delete your account, all data is removed immediately and permanently.

Form submission records are retained for 12 months and then deleted. Server-side access logs are retained for 30 days.

We share data with the following third-party services to operate Atelier:

• OpenAI (San Francisco, CA): your room photo and the render prompt are sent to OpenAI for model inference. OpenAI does not train on API data by default.
• Neon: Postgres database hosting. Your account records, room photos, and render results are stored here on AWS in the United States.
• Vercel: application hosting. The web application and API run on Vercel infrastructure in the United States and other regions.
• Stripe: payment processing for paid plans. Stripe holds your payment information under their own privacy policy.

Atelier uses a single session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or analytics cookies. See our cookie policy for details.

Connections between your browser and Atelier are encrypted over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed before storage. Room photos and account data are encrypted at rest in the Neon database. See our security page for a detailed breakdown.

If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you by email to the address on your account at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
